Practice Administrator
The Practice Administrator is responsible for the overall management and development of the practice. It is expected that the administrator demonstrates behavior consistent with the core values and supports the group’s strategic plan.  He/she directs, supervises, and coordinates the overall operation of clinical and administrative departments.  This position requires a hands-on manager with exceptional communication skills, a thorough knowledge of medical practice and revenue center operations, human resource management, business development and financial reporting. The successful candidate will be highly proficient in QuickBooks and Excel.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in health administration or business; Master’s Degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ private practice management experience. 
  • Strong and effective abilities in team building, negotiation, conflict management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of medical coding, medical issues and terminology
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and state and federal laws

RN, LPN or CMA
Join our team of Professionals! Catawba Women’s Center is seeking an RN, LPN or CMA to work directly with our physicians in providing patient care. Will be required to assist with procedures and communicate effectively with patients in-office and by phone. NC RN or LPN license, or CME certification is required. Excellent organizational skills and electronic health records are a must; prior women’s health experience preferred.
Experience: One year medical experience in a physician’s office or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred; will train a highly-motivated new graduate.
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Performs selected nursing and administrative duties, and assists health care practitioners as part of the clinical care team
  • Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointment with recent test results and correspondence and determines needed services per practice protocol
  • Confers with physician regarding any incomplete patient tests/consults or other incomplete orders prior to patient visit
  • Prepares patients for examination and treatment by escorting them from the waiting area to the exam room and taking histories and vital signs
  • Prepares, cleans and maintains exam and treatment rooms
  • Gives injections and draws blood; assists with OB/Gyn exams, NST’s, and office procedures as needed; and provides other patient care services as directed by the physicians
  • Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting analyses of urine and vaginal fluids
  • Maintains medication records, administers medication upon provider order and responds to medication requests per practice protocol
  • Coordinates care with disease management or case management programs as needed
  • Contributes to the development of policies and procedures
  • Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations
  • Creates, maintains, copies and files patient files, records and other information as needed
